We all need to play our part in protecting the environment and reducing our carbon footprint. Through the Mini E-idea competition, share with the world your eco-actions and tips for a greener life. Your eco-actions and tips may involve reducing, recycling, reusing and other activities that will promote more sustainable ways of living in the following groups: at home, at work, and during your free time.
The Mini E-idea competition is open to all those with a Facebook account. You can post your new eco-actions or re-post your regular eco-actions using the Facebook or i-Phone application, Socialacts. You can also learn about the eco-actions of people from different countries around the world and promote the ones you “like”. By posting in English, this is an opportunity to connect your eco-actions and tips to others living around the world, and to build up your international network.
You will need a Facebook account to take part in the Mini E-idea competition. To register your eco-action or tip, please follow these three simple steps:
Your post will automatically reach your friends through Facebook and Twitter. You will receive comments and “likes” from your friends, and also from fellow participants of the Mini E-idea competition from around the world.
Through your postings you will receive the following points:
For every “like” you give to others, one point
The i-Phone application is also available from the banner below. However, the steps you take to post your comments is slightly different although the points system is the same. You can find the instructions on the screen of i-Phone application for more information.

Mini E-idea is jointly organised by the British Council and LRQA in cooperation with Sassor Inc., one of the winners of the E-idea Competition in Japan in 2010. The Facebook and i-Phone application for Mini E-idea, Socialacts, has been developed by Sassor Inc.
